Delivery
Carriers and Shippo
Connect FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL Express, or Shippo, keep the carrier list, buy labels with Shippo, and read carrier status.
Carriers is the one place to connect shipping carrier accounts. It lives in the Delivery module at /delivery/carriers. Carriers used to be under Warehouse, and /warehouse/carriers now redirects here.
Connect a carrier
The top of the Carriers page shows a tile for each connection: FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL Express, and Shippo. A tile shows the carrier's mark, its name, whether it is connected, and a Connect button, or Manage once connected.
The same tiles appear in two other places, and an account connected in one place shows as connected in all of them:
- Settings → Integrations → Shipping carriers.
- The Connect a carrier button on the Delivery methods page opens this page.
Connecting changes workspace settings, so the buttons are available to roles that can edit.
FedEx, UPS, USPS, and DHL Express
Select Connect, then enter the account details the carrier gives you.
| Carrier | What you enter | What it supports |
|---|---|---|
| FedEx | API key, secret key, account number | Rates, labels, cancellation, and tracking |
| UPS | Client ID, client secret, shipper number | Rates, labels, cancellation, and tracking |
| USPS | Consumer key and consumer secret | Domestic rates and tracking. Postage purchase needs EPS setup and is not available yet |
| DHL Express | API key, API secret, account number | Rates, labels, and tracking |
Credentials are stored encrypted on the server and are never shown again. Use Test connection to check them with the carrier before you save.
Shippo
Shippo gives rates, labels, and tracking from many carriers through one account. Connecting it is a hosted sign in rather than a credential form.
- On the Shippo tile, select Connect.
- Sign in on the Shippo sign in page that opens. Your Shippo password stays with Shippo.
- You return to the page you started from, and a message says Shippo is connected.
A Super Admin can share the connection with the whole workspace. Other roles connect an account for their own use. Select Connect another to add a second Shippo account.
The tile can also read Not in your plan, when your plan does not include connectors, or Status unavailable, when the connection service cannot be reached. Neither stops the rest of the page from working.
Buy a label with Shippo
With a Shippo account connected, the new shipment form for an online or manual order has a Shipping label section. It is on the Orders Shipments page, under New shipment, which is the form people use when they cannot open Delivery.
- Choose the paid order and fill in the recipient's name, address line 1, city, postal code, and country.
- In the label section, check the Ship from address and enter the parcel: weight in kilograms and length, width, and height in centimeters.
- Select Get rates. Shippo returns the services each carrier offers, with the price and an estimate of the days.
- Choose a rate and select Review and buy label.
- Check the summary and select Buy label. The charge goes to your Shippo account and cannot be undone from agaro.
- The carrier and the tracking number fill the shipment. Open the label to print it, then create the shipment to record it.
If the purchase cannot be confirmed, agaro does not repeat it by itself. It tells you to check your Shippo account first, so a label is not bought twice. A rate that is no longer offered, or one that belongs to a different order, asks you to get new rates.
Read carrier status
On the Delivery Shipments list, an order shipment that has a carrier and a tracking number has Check status with Shippo in its row menu. It opens the carrier's current status: Label created, On its way, Delivered, Delivery problem, or Returned to sender, with the expected date and the movement history when the carrier has reported any.
This needs a connected Shippo account. Without one, the dialog says to connect one.
The carrier list
Below the connection tiles, the Carriers page lists the carrier records that pack and ship operations use to attach a tracking number and print a label. This list needs Warehouse Operations to be enabled. Without it, the page shows the connection tiles and a notice that Carrier Management becomes available after Warehouse Operations is enabled.
The list shows each carrier with its provider, whether credentials are stored, and its tracking link, and it marks the default carrier. To add one, select New carrier.
- Choose the Provider. Manual (paste tracking number) renders a printable label and accepts a pasted tracking number.
- An optional Tracking URL template must contain
{token}, which is replaced by the tracking number. - Credentials are optional for a manual carrier.
Use Set as default to make one carrier the workspace default. Archiving a carrier hides it from selection. Existing shipments keep their carrier for audit.
Common problems
| What you see | What to check |
|---|---|
| Connect buttons are disabled | Your role cannot edit settings, or the workspace is read only. |
| The Shippo tile says Not in your plan | Connectors are not part of the plan. A Super Admin can see the plans from the tile. |
| The Shippo tile says Not available and asks you to add a module | The workspace has not added Orders, Products, or Inventory. Add one from the Store, then connect again. |
| The Shippo tile says Status unavailable | The connection service could not be reached. Try again later. |
| Shippo sign in did not finish | A message says it could not finish connecting. Select Connect and sign in again. |
| Get rates returns nothing | No carrier returned a rate for that parcel and address. Check both and try again. |
| The carrier list is missing | Warehouse Operations is disabled for the workspace. |
