Tasks
Manage tasks
Create, assign, prioritize, complete, postpone, archive, delete, and restore operational work.
Tasks at /tasks are the operational work center. The page combines team work, personal triage, recurring templates, and approvals without requiring separate navigation entries.
Task views
| View | Purpose |
|---|---|
| All | Workspace tasks allowed by your record scope |
| My Today | Daily occurrences and one time tasks due today |
| My Tasks | Everything assigned to you, grouped by urgency |
| Team Today | Today across the team |
| Recurring | Active and paused daily or weekly templates |
| Approvals | Completion, late task, and attendance excuse review when Approvals is installed |
Employees see All, My Today, and My Tasks. Additional views depend on role and module grants. An unauthorized ?tab= value falls back to All.
Create a task
Open /tasks/new as a SUPER_ADMIN or MANAGER.
- Enter the title, description, assignee, status, and priority.
- Set the schedule. The end time acts as the deadline.
- Choose one time, daily, or weekly recurrence.
- Link the task to a project or supported business record where needed.
- Decide whether manager approval is required for completion.
- Save the task.
Recurrence is fixed at creation for an existing template. Create a new template if the recurring pattern itself must change.
Complete and postpone
The assignee, SUPER_ADMIN, or MANAGER can complete a permitted task. If approval is not required, completion is final for that occurrence. If approval is required, the task moves to Waiting Approval until a reviewer decides.
The assignee or manager can postpone an eligible task. Use postpone when the due date genuinely changed, not to hide overdue performance.
Archive, delete, and restore
Managers can archive templates or move tasks to Trash. Recently deleted tasks are at /tasks/trash.
Recurring deletion offers distinct choices: remove only the current row, stop future occurrences, or delete the recurring set. Read the confirmation carefully. Stopping future occurrences preserves past history.
Restoring a recurring template resumes future occurrence generation when the restored template is active.
Common problems
| What you see | What to check |
|---|---|
| Employee cannot create a task | Task creation is restricted to SUPER_ADMIN and MANAGER. |
| Complete sends the task to approval | The task was created with Requires manager approval. |
| Task does not appear in My Today | Check assignee, due date, time zone, template activity, and whether today was skipped. |
| Recurrence cannot be edited | Recurrence is immutable after creation. Create a replacement template. |
| Recently deleted is hidden | Restore and Trash management require an authorized manager. |
