Frequently asked questions

Answers about setup, modules, dashboard widgets, billing, the supply chain, AI, integrations, App Builder, scheduling, events, security, and troubleshooting.

What is agaro?

agaro is a multi tenant business operations platform with finance, CRM, workforce, tasks, a supply chain (products, orders, delivery, inventory, and purchasing), marketing, scheduling, events, analytics, AI assistance, and website building. Workspaces install and entitle the modules they need, while user permissions narrow who may see or change each area.

How do I know which workspace I am changing?

Check the workspace name in the dashboard chrome before creating or editing a record. If you belong to more than one company, confirm the active one before you change anything.

Why is a module missing from the sidebar?

The module may not be installed, its plan or paid add on may be inactive, or your user may lack app access. Open the Apps catalog at /modules and read the module card status. See Apps catalog and modules.

Why does a module card say "An admin can add this app" instead of Install?

Only a Super Admin, Developer, or Manager can add apps from the Store, and they do it in one click. There is no request to send and no approval step. If you see this message, ask one of them to install the module. If the workspace is read only, the card says that adding apps is paused until it is writable again. See Apps catalog and modules.

Where did Sales, Products and More, Services, and Projects go?

Sales orders are part of Orders, and deliveries, shipments, customer returns, and delivery methods are in Delivery. Products is at the top of the Supply Chain group, Services is in CRM, and Projects is in Tasks and Projects. Old addresses redirect to the new pages. See Release notes: 29 October 2026.

How much are the plans?

Essentials is $29 and Scale is $49 per full user per month in USD. Enterprise is a custom contract: choose Contact sales. Marketing is included in every plan, and you pay more only past a limit: marketing email packs at $10 for 10,000 emails, AI top ups at $1 for 80 credits, extra email senders at $2 and extra LinkedIn senders at $10 a month, App Builder projects and traffic past the plan, and soft users past the 10 included. See Plans, add ons, and pricing.

Is marketing included?

Yes, on every plan: 1,000 marketing emails a month, unlimited social posts, 2 active workflows with 5 runs each, 2 email senders, and 2 social accounts. The Marketing plan is no longer sold. Workflows are a fixed limit with nothing to buy past it. See Marketing is included in every plan.

What is a soft user?

A soft user is anyone who is not a full user and, in a month, can sign in to their employee account, is tracked in attendance, or is paid in payroll. Each workspace has 10 included every month, then pays $4 per person a month ($2.70 in Saudi Arabia and the UAE). Full users are never counted. See Soft users.

Does Essentials include App Builder?

Yes. Essentials includes 3 published projects and 2 million requests a month, and Scale 10 published projects and 10 million requests. Past the plan, each published project is $5 a month and each million requests $3.

Is there a free trial?

The trial lasts 14 days and includes everything in Scale, with 700 shared AI credits for the workspace and up to 10 users. The Subscription page shows the exact end date and remaining days for your workspace.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. Free is the CRM for one user, at no cost: Leads, Contacts, Opportunities, Scheduling, and Events work for the workspace owner, and every other module stays visible and read only. A workspace lands on Free when its trial ends without a plan or its paid plan ends, and a Super Admin can switch to it on purpose. It has no AI credits, AI agents, App Builder, API, MCP, connectors, payroll, or marketing email. See The Free plan.

Why is my workspace read only, or on the Free plan?

The subscription may be past due, unpaid, canceled, or outside its allowed access window. The workspace then moves to the Free plan, where only the workspace owner can change the CRM and everything else is read only. A Super Admin can open Settings → Subscription and use the billing portal or recovery checkout. API and assistant mutations cannot bypass these limits.

How do I add a dashboard widget?

Open Dashboard, select Customization, then open Widgets. Search the library or use Browse by module, select Add, arrange the card, and select Save. See Customize dashboards and widgets.

Why does the widget library not show a module?

The module has no available dashboard metric for your current account. Confirm it is installed and your role or access group can read its records. Modules with zero available metric sources are hidden from Browse by module.

Are dashboard edits saved immediately?

No. The live editor keeps a draft. Widget settings preview immediately, but you must select Save to persist the full layout. Cancel and confirm discard to return to the last saved dashboard.

Can I create more than one dashboard?

Yes, when your account has dashboard write capability. Use the dashboard selector to create a named board from an available template or blank canvas, rename it, set a default, export it, or delete it when another dashboard remains.

What can the AI assistant do?

It can answer questions and call authorized tools across installed modules. The exact tool surface depends on the signed in user's access. AI generated explanations can be wrong, so verify important results and open changed records. See Use the AI assistant.

What is the difference between Action on Accept and Autonomous?

Action on Accept pauses before every write. Autonomous allows ordinary creates and updates to run within your authority, while risky and irreversible actions still pause. Neither mode expands your role or record access. See Assistant autonomy and confirmations.

Does a plan include AI credits?

Yes. Essentials includes 300 and Scale 1,000 AI credits per full user each month, shared by the assistant and App Builder. When they run out, add more at $1 for 80 credits. Enterprise has a pooled allowance set by contract.

What is MCP and how much does it cost?

MCP connects a compatible AI app, such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor, to agaro's hosted server. You add the connector URL from Settings → API and MCP in the AI app and sign in with Agaro, so no key is needed. It is included in Scale and Enterprise, together with the Open API, at no extra cost. Essentials and Free do not include it. See Connect an AI assistant (MCP).

Can an API key act as any user?

No. A REST API key is bound at creation to one active Super Admin or Manager. MCP is included in Scale and Enterprise, so no seat is needed. Request headers cannot change that actor. Live actor, creator, workspace, module, and model permissions are checked on calls.

Where is the API documentation?

See API overview and request format. The main action pattern is /api/v1/{module}/{action} with bearer authentication. Use the current action schemas and do not assume every internal job is exposed.

What does App Builder create?

It creates customer facing websites such as landing pages, multi page business sites, portfolios, and storefronts. It does not create a separate CRM, ERP, or standalone platform. If an app needs sign in for its visitors, or data saved for each visitor, you connect your own Supabase project for that. See Build a website with App Builder.

Can an App Builder storefront use my real products?

Yes. The supported storefront connection uses the workspace product catalog and routes resulting purchases to Orders. Customer checkout requires the tenant's own ready Stripe account.

What is the difference between Preview and Publish?

Preview runs the editable project in a temporary sandbox. Publish creates a live deployment. Saving an edit or viewing Preview does not update the public site until you publish again.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. Connect a domain you already own by adding the displayed DNS records, or buy a supported available domain through the Builder domain flow. See Publish sites, SEO, domains, and analytics.

What is the difference between Scheduling, Event Types, and Events?

Scheduling is the combined operational calendar. Event Types are reusable public appointment booking pages. Events manages time bounded programs such as conferences, webinars, seminars, sponsors, booths, tracks, and registration.

Can bookings collect payment?

Yes, when an Event Type has a positive price and the tenant Stripe customer payment account is ready. The slot is held pending hosted checkout and confirmed only after signed provider settlement and the saved confirmation policy.

Can I connect Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook?

Yes, in Scheduling. While you have no calendar connected, Scheduling shows a card that says to connect your Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook Calendar. You can also use the Calendars menu. Bookings then go to that calendar, its busy times can block availability, and video bookings get a Google Meet or Microsoft Teams link. A video booking needs a connected calendar, or a meeting link you paste yourself. Calendar apps need a plan that includes connectors. See Scheduling calendar and manual events.

Do you support two factor authentication?

Yes. Users can enroll an authenticator app, email code, or both. Authenticator enrollment issues ten one time backup codes. Workspace policy can make two factor optional, required for employees, or required for everyone. See Two factor authentication and access policy.

How is tenant data isolated?

Application queries use the active workspace identifier, and protected tenant tables also use forced PostgreSQL row level security. Authorization adds module, role, model, record scope, and workspace state checks. See Security and data isolation.

What happens when I delete a record?

Many business modules use soft deletion and provide Recently deleted with restore. Some security sensitive data, including a user's deleted assistant conversation, is permanently deleted. Read the confirmation for the specific action.

Can I delete a custom module I built in Studio?

Yes. A Super Admin, or a Manager with All or Admin access to the module, can choose Delete module from the project menu on the Studio Projects page, or in the module's builder. The confirmation shows how many records go to the Trash, which scheduled automations pause, and any module that still needs it. Recently deleted on the Projects page restores the module with its records. See Delete and restore a custom module.

Can a field be required or read only only in some cases?

Yes. In Studio, a field can be shown, required, or read only based on another field of the same record, and the server enforces it on every create and edit. See Field conditions in Studio.

Where is the Support button?

In the header, just before Notifications. One press opens the support chat. It is not in the account menu any more, and it does not appear on public pages such as booking pages. See Get help with the Support button.

Where do I change personal settings versus workspace settings?

Use Account Settings for your profile, preferences, two factor methods, personal Gmail and Calendar, and personal AI usage. Use Workspace Settings for shared branding, billing, finance, communications, integrations, devices, security policy, access rights, and AI administration.

Why did Save fail even though the form looked valid?

Server validation can enforce business rules that a browser field cannot see, including workspace ownership, date relationships, status locks, line requirements, currency, module access, role, record scope, and read only state. Read the exact field or form error before retrying.

Where should I look when email or SMS fails?

For workspace email, review Settings → Communications → Delivery Diagnostics and the configured outgoing provider. For SMS, review the SMS delivery analysis, provider account, sender, phone format, and blacklist. Avoid creating a duplicate send until the first provider result is known.

How do I get help with a billing or security incident?

Preserve the exact error, workspace account number, time, record identifier, and provider reference. Revoke exposed keys immediately and use the billing portal for payment recovery. Do not send passwords, full secrets, payment card data, or private signing material in a support message.
