Delivery

Customer returns and delivery methods

Reverse delivered stock correctly, and configure the shipping price and carrier behavior customers see.

Customer returns at /delivery/returns reverse a prior delivery back into stock. Delivery methods at /delivery/methods define how shipping is priced and, where a carrier is connected, quoted. Both are pages of the Delivery module and need Delivery and Inventory.

Create a customer return

  1. Open /delivery/returns/new, or choose Record a return on the Delivery overview.
  2. Choose the source delivery.
  3. Choose the return destination location.
  4. Add only variants and quantities that were delivered and remain returnable.
  5. Save the Draft.
  6. Select Confirm return to post the inbound stock movement.

Return states are Draft, Done, and Cancelled. A Done return is an inventory event and should not be edited. Use another supported stock correction if the physical result changes.

The returns appear on the sales order they came from, under its Returns tab, and in the Fulfilment section of a paid online order.

The same returns engine also supports vendor returns, but the source and the stock direction are different. Start from the correct place: customer returns in Delivery, vendor returns in Purchase.

Delivery methods

Open /delivery/methods. The page lists your methods with their type, carrier, fixed price, and status. It carries no summary cards.

To add a method, select New method.

  1. Enter the Name customers will see, such as Standard shipping.
  2. Choose the Type: Fixed rate charges the fixed price you enter. Carrier API is priced live by a connected carrier account. Choose the Carrier account. Pickup is collected by the customer. By rule prices by rules. Rule based prices are set through the API, and the form creates the method in rule mode.
  3. Leave Active on to offer the method.
  4. Select Create method.

A Carrier API method needs a connected carrier account. If none is connected, the form says so and links to the Carriers page. Connect carrier accounts on the Carriers page, where FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL Express, and Shippo are all connected in one place. The Carrier connections panel on the methods page has a Connect a carrier button that opens it.

Deleting a method removes it and unlinks it from existing orders. Make a method inactive instead if you only want to stop offering it.

Shipping methods for the website shop

If you can open Orders and you are a Super Admin or Manager, the methods page also shows Offered in your website shop. It counts the shipping methods buyers choose at checkout. Manage shipping methods opens /delivery/methods/shop, where each option is one of your delivery methods with the price, the amount above which shipping is free, and the countries the shop shows.

A workspace that sells online without Inventory does not have Delivery. It reaches the same page from Shipping methods in the Orders dropdown.
